    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage teams, schedule, and conduct employee training.
    • Ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in laboratory operations.
    • Guarantee adequate coverage and optimal performance.
    • Foster morale and teamwork within the team.
    • Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
    • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
    • Manage the technical conduct, quality control, and record-keeping for all analytical evaluations.
    • Supervise, organize, and coordinate technical activities within the principles of sound scientific practices, business economy, and professional development of subordinate employees.
    • Provide planning, organization, direction, and control to meet company goals.
    • Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental programs, maintaining necessary documentation.
    • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, industry officials, and peers.
    • Assist in developing marketing strategies, prepare technical work proposals, and contribute to business expansion plans.
    • Serve as a member of the Corporate Management team, providing input for the financial growth and development of the company.
    • Coordinate with Business Unit Managers from other locations to avoid duplication of testing activities and meet customer expectations.
    • Take responsibility for the overall operational success of the laboratory, including budgeting, capital expense decisions, managing senior staff, addressing major client needs, revenue and profit growth, and cost control.

    Basic Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related
    • Min 4 years of supervisory experience, specifically laboratory management experience
    • P&L experience a plus, but not required
    • Ability to lead the lab through continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Experience in laboratory procedures, data analysis, and computer operations.
    • Experience in technical/business writing and giving oral presentations.
    • Strong technical and management background required.
    • Must be able to organize and lead laboratory personnel to optimize productivity and client satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.

    eed to have run a laboratory before (ideally) or in a Business Operations/Business Unit Manager /GM role (P&L) of at least an office with 10-20 people. Biology or Microbiology background ideally preferred!
