    AUTOMOTIVE PARTS PICKER

    THE POSITION: Parts Picker/shipping receiving handles all duties relative to merchandise (General Merchandise and Parts and Accessories) receipt and shipment.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
    • Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. (Payroll: Reynolds & Reynolds / Ignite; HR Compliance: KPA / VeraSuite)

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
    • One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Handle all duties relative to merchandise (General Merchandise, Parts, and Accessories).
    • Assist in the maintenance of inventory accuracy and control inventory related records.
    • Assist with periodic inventory cycle counts as directed by supervisor.
    • Assist with organization and cleanliness of inventory area.
    • Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
    • Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook. Any other duties as assigned.
    • Fulfill orders placed with company.
    • Read order slip, gather the appropriate items on that slip and take to designated delivery route.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Required to stand, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel.
    • Frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, take and hear.
    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
