Position Summary:

Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing and experiments, analyzing samples, and maintaining laboratory equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with scientists and researchers to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science.

Position Responsibilities: 

• Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze samples using various laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Record and interpret data accurately, maintaining detailed and organized lab notes.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laboratory best practices.
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing experimental findings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

   

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of Lab Technician or related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Proficiency in using laboratory software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment.
