    Maryhill Winery, located in the scenic Columbia River Gorge, is a premier Pacific Northwest winery producing wines from over 30 varietals across 7 AVAs. Our Goldendale estate serves as our production hub and supports a dynamic operation that includes retail, events, wine club programs, and distribution.     Position Summary

    We are seeking a full-time Lab Technician to support our winemaking operations. This role is responsible for conducting wine and juice analysis, ensuring quality control during bottling, and maintaining accurate laboratory data. The Lab Technician reports directly to the Winemaker and plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collect samples from tanks and barrels and perform routine analysis

    Perform daily setup, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment, including:

    Y15 Automatic Analyzer

    pH meter

    Spectrophotometer

    DO meter

    Turbidity meter

    Prepare and standardize solutions for analysis

    Ensure accuracy and precision of all lab results

    Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment

    Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)

    Identify out-of-range results, take corrective action, and communicate findings

    Perform quality control testing before, during, and after bottling

    Accurately record and manage lab data

    Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications

    Certificate or higher in Chemistry, Enology, Fermentation Science, or related field

    Previous laboratory experience required

    Basic knowledge of winery and cellar operations preferred

    Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

    Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions

    Ability to understand and follow safety procedures

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

    Ability to climb stairs and ladders

    Ability to stand for extended periods

    Schedule Requirements

    Must be flexible to work extended hours, including nights and weekends during harvest season
