    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    Founded in 2002, LABCONNECT provides global central laboratory services including routine and esoteric laboratory testing, kit building, sample management, biorepository, and scientific support services for biopharmaceutical and CRO clients in support of their clinical trials. LabConnect is a central lab headquartered and operating in Johnson City, TN.

    SUMMARY

    The Associate Project Manager PRM, is responsible for the oversight of assigned projects and may assist the Project Managers (PMs) and Sr. Project Managers (Sr PMs) with daily tasks in managing projects to client specifications, ensuring quality deliverables are on time and within budget.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides independent oversight for clinical trial projects assigned of low and moderate complexity, including client meetings and communications, report development and review, issue resolutions, and budget oversight as determined by the Manager, Associate Project Management.
    • Works closely with PMs and Sr PMs to assist in study oversight processes for high complexity and global studies, and for training and development towards advancement to PM.
    • Maintains study status and ensures study documentation is up to date throughout the life of the study.
    • Attends meetings for the hand-off projects from PRI to PRM and assists with project-specific training of internal staff.
    • Primary project contact with sponsors and Contract Research Organizations to ensure appropriate communication channels are maintained and reporting schedules are adhered to.
    • Translates client requirements into actions for problem solving, issue resolution, or to provide requested information; often requires a creative approach to serving client needs while adhering to internal process and standards.
    • Reviews reports and documents, including enrollment logs, pending test reports, reporting from other laboratories, issue logs, shipping manifests, and other documents that assist with study oversight. 
    • Liaises with the assigned data manager to ensure data is delivered on time per the OSD.
    • Coordinates requests for shipment of stored samples as directed in the OSD.
    • Ensures that all laboratory requirements outlined in the protocol are managed per expectations and in compliance with laboratory practices.
    • Creates training materials and may represent LabConnect at client and/or investigator meetings.
    • Interfaces with laboratory(ies), Business Development, Operations, and Data Management to communicate study needs or for problem solving.
    • Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.

     

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    BA/BS with 1-year experience as a Project Coordinator or AA/AS with 2 years’ experience as Project Coordinator, or HS Diploma with 3 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator.  Clinical Research, Central Lab, and/or Project Management experience outside of LabConnect will be considered.

    Excellent organization, communication, multitasking and customer service skills. LANGUAGE ABILITY

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.  Ability to write business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients.

     

    MATH ABILITY                                                        

    Ability to perform calculations and manage budgets.  Ability to apply mathematical concepts to budget management for clinical trials and metrics analysis.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    To perform this job successfully, the individual must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.  SharePoint and Microsoft Visio experience a plus.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
