Position Summary:
The LabCorp Assistant / Marketing Coordinator supports daily administrative, client-facing, and laboratory-related tasks while assisting with marketing and outreach efforts to grow the organization’s presence and client base. This dual-role position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Laboratory Support:
Assist with front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling, and patient check-in.
Support lab personnel with non-technical tasks such as data entry, specimen organization, and labeling.
Maintain accurate records of specimens, documentation, and client interactions.
Prepare and organize supplies and materials for lab use.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
Coordinate courier pickups, deliveries, and inventory restocking.
Client Relations & Customer Service:
Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, scheduling, and service-related issues.
Ensure timely and professional communication with referring physicians, clinics, and patients.
Follow up with clients and partners to maintain satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Marketing & Outreach:
Assist with developing and distributing marketing materials (brochures, flyers, social media content).
Coordinate community outreach events, health fairs, or partnership programs.
Maintain and update client databases, email lists, and marketing CRM systems.
Support digital marketing efforts, including posting on social media and monitoring engagement.
Help track marketing campaign metrics and generate simple reports.
Represent the lab in a professional manner during promotional visits to clinics or partner organizations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or healthcare preferred.
Experience in a medical office, laboratory, or healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills.
Basic understanding of marketing principles and customer engagement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Physical & Work Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Light lifting (up to 25 lbs) for marketing materials or lab supplies.
May require travel for off-site marketing or outreach efforts.
Work may involve occasional extended hours or weekends for events.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar marketing tools.
Knowledge of healthcare industry marketing or client development.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
