    Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

    Location: Hartford, CT or Stamford, CT

    A well-established law firm with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Connecticut offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters alongside a team regularly recognized by Chambers USA, Connecticut Super Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America.

    The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation and employment counseling experience, excellent research and writing skills, and a genuine interest in building a labor and employment practice within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Defend employment cases under partner oversight, including investigating claims, taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, and arguing motions in Connecticut state and federal court and administrative proceedings.
    • Provide multi-state employment counseling to business leaders, including advising on workplace policies, employee handbooks, and employment aspects of corporate transactions.
    • Conduct employment due diligence in connection with corporate transactions.
    • Manage multiple litigation and client matters simultaneously, with strong attention to priorities and deadlines.
    • Work directly with clients to deliver practical, creative legal solutions and quality representation.
    • Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of labor and employment experience in a law firm setting
    • Knowledge of Connecticut state and federal court procedural and evidentiary rules
    • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
    • Proven project management skills and ability to handle a active, varied caseload
    • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term labor and employment practice
    • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
    • Licensed or eligible for admission in Connecticut
  • Compensation
    $170,000-$200,000 per year
