Job Description
Position Summary
The Lab Asset Management Metrologist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of analytical laboratory instrumentation within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role combines hands-on metrology and calibration expertise with asset management, documentation control, vendor coordination, and strong customer interface skills. The Metrologist supports laboratory uptime by performing qualifications, addressing routine instrument issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring all instrumentation records meet GxP and internal quality standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, or related field) and >4 years of relevant pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience;
OR MS degree in a life science field and ≥2 years of directly related experience.
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and chromatography systems (HPLC, GC, KF, UV‑Vis, etc.) required.
Proficiency with chromatography data systems such as Empower strongly preferred.
Experience performing IQ/OQ/PQ, calibrations, or equipment troubleshooting in a GxP environment.

Strong scientific, mechanical, and technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving ability.
Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on documentation accuracy and data integrity.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated lab environment.
Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques, multitask effectively, follow SOPs, and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
