    Job Description

    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Technician to support day-to-day lab operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant research environment. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of laboratory activities and supports both scientific and operational teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for daily lab operations, interfacing with BMD Portfolio and Operations Lead, Scientists, Facilities, and Global Operations.
    • Coordinate equipment repairs, lab supply sourcing, and provide compliance guidance.
    • Oversee proper sorting, labeling, and disposal of biohazardous and chemical waste.
    • Manage onsite freezer storage, including alarm monitoring and response.
    • Lead annual lab cleanouts, chemical inventory updates, and pipette calibration drives.
    • Conduct quarterly internal EHS safety inspections and assist in resolving findings.
    • Support onboarding and offboarding of laboratory personnel.
    • Interface with vendors to manage laboratory consumables and supplies.
    • Maintain tissue culture facilities, including stocking consumables and maintaining water baths and incubators.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Experience in laboratory operations or lab management support.
    • Familiarity with EHS protocols and laboratory safety practices.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

    Additional Details:

    The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA, are encouraged to apply.
