Job Description

_ A Day in the Life_

The Laboratory system architect is responsible for designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining information systems and software, related to Munson Healthcare’s laboratory business. They must assure that all planned and in-place system architectures are aligned with the specific Laboratory goals and MHC initiatives. Research new technologies, create plans and deploy systems that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility

Qualifications

_ What’s Required_

Associate’s degree and 10 years progressively more responsible experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory environment required, or a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years progressively more responsible experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory environment.

At least 3 years of experience dealing with data processing/clinical information systems hardware and software required.

Experience in installing, upgrading, interfacing and maintaining clinical operating systems and system software required.

Proven ability to perform basic programming functions required.

Experience with Cerner PowerChart / integrated system preferred.
