So, what will the Laboratory Technician at Terrestris do?
Laboratory Technician will play a key role in maintaining long-term datasets that evaluate the health and productivity of experimental forests. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory analytical equipment, conducting chemical analyses of environmental samples, and managing datasets with strict attention to quality assurance standards. The Laboratory Technician will support the timely processing and analysis of stream, soil, atmospheric deposition, and vegetation samples, ensuring data are accurate and readily available for Forest Service scientists. This role is essential to sustaining ongoing research and advancing the mission of the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory.

Methods for total nitrogen and carbon analysis
Methods for elemental analysis
Measurement of pH and conductivity
Quality assurance procedures for analysis of environmental samples
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word
