Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing at a federal correctional institution in Cumberland, Maryland. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology testing, maintaining CLIA compliance and quality control for the inmate healthcare program.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines
• Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens per CLSI standards
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and POC equipment
• Perform QC, proficiency testing, and calibrations
• Review and release results, flag critical values
• Support infectious disease screening programs
• Ensure CLIA and BOP laboratory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• ASCP certification (MLT or MLS)
• Current BLS certification
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor in CLS preferred
• POC testing experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $57,000 - $74,000 annually
