    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology testing, maintaining CLIA compliance and quality control standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform clinical laboratory testing in hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and basic microbiology
    • Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens following CLSI standards
    • Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers, centrifuges, and point-of-care testing equipment
    • Perform quality control testing, proficiency testing, and instrument calibrations
    • Review and release results, flagging critical values for immediate provider notification
    • Support infectious disease screening programs including TB, HIV, hepatitis, and STI testing
    • Ensure CLIA, CAP, and BOP laboratory compliance

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
    • ASCP certification (MLT or MLS)
    • Current BLS certification
    • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Clinical Laboratory Science preferred
    • Point-of-care testing coordinator experience

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $55,000 - $72,000 annually
