Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology testing, maintaining CLIA compliance and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines
• Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens following CLSI standards
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and point-of-care equipment
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, and instrument calibrations
• Review and release results, flagging critical values for immediate notification
• Support infectious disease and women's health screening programs
• Ensure CLIA and BOP laboratory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• ASCP certification (MLT or MLS)
• Current BLS certification
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CLS preferred
• Point-of-care testing experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $52,000 - $68,000 annually
