The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, presses, and other production equipment. They will identify and diagnose equipment problems, determining the appropriate course of action, and making repairs as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on a wide range of manufacturing equipment
- Identify and diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate course of action
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Order and stock parts and supplies
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Experience with industrial equipment and manufacturing processes is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and standards
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Must have good vision and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift 50 pounds,
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, climb, and work from ladders.
