We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven Automotive Technician. Our ideal candidate will be able to perform light repairs, such as CV axle, brakes, suspension, and steering components. You will be led and helped by a lead technician and also a 40-year automotive technician who spends time each week at all of our locations. This will allow you to continue to build upon your mechanical and technical skills. Responsibilities: • Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step-by-step approach • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools • When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process Qualifications: • GED or high school diploma is mandatory • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary Compensation: $17 - $25 hourly
