    RG is currently hiring a qualified individual to perform as our User Experience Team Lead to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer.  They will be leading and managing a team supporting business process analysis, user community interface/voice of the customer, User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) development, and development for technology-enabled modernization and business transformation. The team consists of business analysis, UI/UX development, technical writing, and instructional design members to enable the most effective user experience. This role is critical in helping customers achieve their strategic outcomes from enterprise transformation and systems modernization.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE:

    The User Experience Team Lead is responsible for leading the User Experience team to the successful implementation of product functionality in an Agile environment. To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to lead the team and report directly to the program manager. The User Experience Team Lead will lead the User Experience team through User Story Backlog Management, Review & Refine User Stories, Story Grooming, UI/UX development, demo to the Release Train Engineer for Agile development processing, User Manuals, and system user instructional development.

     

    The main tasks to be performed will include:

    • Leading the User Experience Team
    • Detailed requirement elicitation and gathering
    • Developing the modernization strategy, blueprints and roadmaps
    • Business process definition, mapping, and redesign
    • Business rules identification; stakeholder analysis
    • Development of user personas, workflow, creation of user stories and use cases
    • Requirement traceability, verification, and validation
    • Identifying best practices, innovations, and opportunities for improvement
    • UI/UX and User Story Demonstrations
    • User Manual Development
    • System User Instructional Development

     

    The ideal candidate will collaborate with our clients to define streamlined processes and workflows and associated end-user and business functional and non-functional requirements. Working in an Agile consulting and development environment, the User Experience Team Lead will identify problems and opportunities across the enterprise and ultimately provide solutions and process refinements to help the client achieve their business goals. This position will suit a dynamic project leader who has strong team building and organizational skills in a dynamic software development environment. The candidate will also collaborate with product development, sustainment, and implementation teams to develop various initiatives and strategies that will optimize the value of solutions and realize the full benefit of modernization for the client. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with on-site and remote colleagues as well as the ability to work with our Air Force customer to help them as they transition to a more streamlined, Agile approach for development and sustainment of enterprise applications.

    The User Experience Team Lead is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG's solutions.  They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.

    The User Experience Team Lead is expected to be an accomplished professional with a proven history of demonstrating personal initiative, leadership, management, problem solving, effective communications, and coaching and mentoring. They are highly proficient at both written and personal presentation, as well as able to condense and communicate research material into a concise, compelling form which aids customers in making well-informed decisions.

     

    The User Experience Team Lead will be accountable for:

    • Successful delivery of user experience products (UI/UX demos, User Stories, User Manual, training material, etc.) to the customer in accordance with the RG Agile Processes and PWS
    • Leading a diverse and dynamic team of business analysts, UI/UX developers, technical writer, and instructional designer to enable the most effective user to establish and achieve sprint goals in a non-collocated environment
    • Meeting PWS performance and achievement of RG revenue and quality goals
    • Aligning documentation completion through Peer Review and submission to White Glove Review for submission to the customer to support release deadlines
    • Assigning personnel actions: hiring, hours, expense reporting, travel, etc
    • Representing RG while on site at a client location and coordinating with RG employees at, or near, that location (Wright Patterson AFB, Tinker AFB, Hill AFB, Robins AFB etc.)
    • Protecting the team by helping them set realistic sprint goals
    • Ensuring the team supports the overall program (PDMSS) goals and objectives during the sprint
    • Facilitating team reviews and working to remove obstacles that block progress
    • Leading the team through healthy conflict and debate on ideas
    • Teaching, mentoring, and coaching the organization and team on program goals/priorities
    • Empowering and guiding the development team on self-management

    Required Experience

    To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.

    • BA/BS DEGREE (4+ YEARS OF RELEVANT BA EXPERIENCE INCLUDING ELICITATION, FACILITATION, REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENTATION AND/OR MODELING TECHNIQUES MAY BE SUBSTITUTED IN LIEU OF A DEGREE)
    • 5+ YEARS LEADERSHIP IN BUSINESS ARCHITECTURE, ANALYSIS, UI/UX, OR “ART OF THE POSSIBLE” EXPERIENCE
    • UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS ARCHITECTURE AND ANALYSIS BEST PRACTICE
    • GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES (ITERATIVE, WATERFALL, AGILE)
    • EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING BUSINESS PROCESS AND DATA MODELS
