  • Responsibilities
    • POSITION SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager will perform engineering and maintenance duties in planning and designing tools, motors, machines and other mechanical equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment and facility.

    • ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
    • Plans, directs and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification and maintenance of equipment and facility.
    • Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement.
    • Establishes standards and policies for installation, modification, repair, quality control, testing, and operating procedures of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
    • Develops best practices, preventative maintenance routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality output.
    • Automation
    • Capacity analysis of new and transfer molds
    • Develops work cells
    • Regrind implementation
    • Coordinates preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery. Ensures efficient repair schedules and reviews repair cost estimates.
    • Completes and maintains accurate timely documentation of required maintenance and regulatory programs. Coordinates with other safety staff to ensure all required documentation is completed and up to date.
    • Oversees the Maintenance department and Tool room

    Required Skills

    • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • College Degree in a related field preferred but not required.

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic experience.

    • A good working knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and technology.

    • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

    • Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize workload in order to meet required deadlines and performance standards.

    • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and/or schematics.

    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

    • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
