  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:         

    Achieve revenue increases assigned by the Corporation, secure incremental sales, and develop mutually rewarding relationships at assigned customers.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Sell to target accounts to achieve assigned revenue increases (AOP) and contract compliance.
    • Provide sales coverage, relationship selling, partnering, and managing of accounts.
    • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the industry including Invacare and competitor product knowledge, reimbursement issues, industry trends, provider issues etc.
    • Keep providers up-to-date on Invacare products and services industry developments, etc.
    • Utilize professional selling skills including use of an effective call pattern, assessing customer needs, setting call objectives, account profiling, features and benefits selling, virtual presentation skills, effective persuasion techniques, and closing.
    • Investigate industry trends and practices and notify company of competitive products, promotional sales, selling techniques, pricing, warranties, and marketing policies.
    • Provide activity and sales volume reports as requested.
    • Develop and maintain account history files utilizing CRM.
    • Achieve required phone performance as defined in the Inside Sales Performance Metrics.
    • Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of Invacare Corporation.
    • Help ensure the success of the consumer sales/marketing plan through sales efforts directed toward dealers, facilities, and professional organizations.
    • Assist in the development of positioning strategies.
    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 2+ years of business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer sales experience; medical sales experience preferred.
    • Proven track record for achievement of goals.
    • High energy and persuasive with excellent follow through skills.
    • Basic Computer skills (MS Windows / MS Office environment)
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Ability to cope with stressful situations in a professional manner.
    • Ability to prioritize and work multiple activities simultaneously and make self directed decisions.
    • Demonstrated initiative (self-starter)
    • Flexible style (“do whatever it takes” approach)
    • Available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
