    EROSION CONTROL CREW MEMBER- NESF

    Position Class: Field- Hourly

    Hours Required: 40+ Per Week Pay: $16-17 Hour based on experience and qualifications.

    Reports To: 735 Jacobs Millpond Rd. Elgin, SC 29045

    Description

    This is an entry level General Labor position in our NESF branch with multiple job duties essential to daily operations in the erosion control division for LMES. The crew member is responsible for the physical installation of silt fence, inlet protections, slope matting, and other erosion control services on both residential and commercial sites. You may utilize vehicles, hand tools, and some equipment to complete your work each day. Hours are approximately 730am-4pm on Monday through Friday with overtime available at certain times of the year.

    Required Job Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

    · A valid SC driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements for past driving record (preferred)

    · Experience working with tools and equipment specific to erosion control installations (preferred)

    · Experience pulling a trailer (preferred)

    · Must have a reliable phone with ability to receive information from the company

    Job Duties

    · Go over the daily work schedule with the Crew Leader each morning

    · Assist with loading trucks with proper installation materials each morning

    · Represent LMES in a professional manner to customers and homeowners at all times

    · Complete all erosion control work to a high standard of excellence and LMES quality

    · Follow all safety protocols pertaining to vehicles, equipment, or site conduct as instructed

    · Install all erosion control products to the specifications of your crew leader’s direction

    · Communicate effectively with crew leader and fellow crew members

    · Achieve daily and weekly goals for your crew’s silt fence installation output

    · Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are taken care of and inspected properly

    · Relay important information, incident reports, or concerns utilizing the proper chain of command
