Job Description: Sales Associate Position Summary The primary role of our sales associates includes providing helpful and friendly customer service, keeping products and store facilities neat and orderly, and supporting fellow team members and management with store goals and objectives. Major Responsibilities The Major Responsibilities for this position include: * Helping customers find products in a helpful, friendly and professional manner * Ensuring product, store departments, and job stations are neat and orderly * Cleaning, maintaining store supplies, and facility maintenance * Assisting in the training and development of new hires * Engaging ones own product knowledge with access to in-house training sources * Maintaining a friendly, helpful, and professional approach to all aspects of this Sales Associate position Minimum Requirements The minimum requirement for this Sales Associate position are as follows: * Education/Training: High School degree preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Great organization skills and attention to detail * Motivated and excited to work Physical Requirements The minimum physical requirements for this positions include: * Must be able to lift 20 pounds frequently, and 60 pound infrequently * Stocking, where physical exertion extends for the full length of a standard 8 hour shift * Using ladders, hand-trucks, and pallet jacks to handle product Job responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of the business Company Description Lake Oswego Ace Hardware is an independently owned and operated hardware retail operation located in Lake Oswego Oregon.
