    Human Resource Generalist

     

    Responsible for providing HR support and direction to the manufacturing facility with a focus on recruitment, employee relations and benefits administration.  Duties and activities include:

     

    • Recruitment

      • Leads sourcing, screening, interviewing activities as well as recommending prospective employees for employment for the hourly workforce.
      • Coordinates internal and external recruitment processes, including the identification of candidate sources, placement of advertisements, internal/external job postings, and scheduling of interviews.
      • Prepares job offers for candidates.
      • Monitors activities and maintains accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, and other recruiting activities to ensure compliance with government regulations.
    • Employee Relations

      • Counsels and coaches supervisors and managers as needed on areas such as employee engagement, communications, performance, disciplinary action, etc.
      • Plans and conducts new employee orientation.
      • Provides guidance and direction to employees regarding Company policies and procedures and general employee issues
      • Assists in developing and delivering human resources communications as needed.
      • Assists in the employee engagement survey process, employee recognition events and participate on various committees monitoring activities and completion of goals.
      • Proficiency with HRIS – Workday. Ability to run reports, create positions, create requisitions, hire and terminate employees, etc.
    • Assists with the day-to-day administration including memoranda, generating data, greeting visitors, ordering office supplies, ect.Benefits Administration

      • Responds to all employee benefit inquiries. Facilitates resolution of issues and problems.
      • Assists with the day-to-day administration of health, dental, wealth, wellness, life and ancillary benefit programs, activities and projects.

     

     

     

     

    Requirements:

    • Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
    • 3-5 years Human Resource Generalist experience with strong recruiting experience required.
    • Strong organizational skills and communication abilities are required.
    • Experience and knowledge of HRIS systems.
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   

     

    Work performed in an office environment. Extensive amount of sitting and using office equipment and computers.  Average mobility to move around an office environment and ability to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.  Working area is in a busy, open area office.  Sensory demands – spends extensive time in intense concentration, entering financial information on a computer which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.  Must meet deadlines. Occasional travel to various store locations.  Flexible schedule (nights, weekends and key days as business requires).
