  • Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a dedicated COVID Associate to assist with employee questions via phone and processing web case about time away from work due to COVID-19. In this role, you will interact directly with our employees in a way that builds trust and displays empathy by providing accurate information and resolving issues. The COVID Associate must be able to listen actively to employees’ concerns and questions, and provide complete and accurate information about H.R. policy, time off policy, pay impacts, benefits information, and other H.R. items. The ideal candidate must be able to work a varied, on-call schedule. Evenings and/or weekends may be required.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide assistance to employees who are impacted by COVID-19, in the form of accurate, consistent, and timely responses to inquiries via phone and email
    • Track, analyze, advise, and implement new/updated health guidelines to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines
    • Serve as the support contact for employees with questions about their time away from work due to illness
    • Track and monitor COVID-19 symptom and exposure notifications, including providing testing direction, monitoring and tracking of quarantine requirements, and conducting contact tracing
    • Receive queries via phone or email and log contacts into the case management system
    • Take ownership of employee contacts, ensuring that each contact is accepted and resolved with a high degree of customer focus
    • Build employee and customer trust by empathetic handling of sensitive issues
    • Maintain vaccination records and internal database
    • Assist with coordination of internal and external communications related to COVID-19
    • Ensure all customer COVID-19 protocols and processes are documented, followed, and communicated to appropriate teams
    • Provide summary updates regarding quarantine status to appropriate parties

     

    Required Skills

    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality of information
    • Able to handle difficult calls and successfully apply de-escalation techniques
    • Superior attention to detail
    • Self-motivated and strong ability to follow through
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of safety and health standards and regulations
    • Knowledge of U.S. federal and state leave and disability laws

     

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
    • 1-3 years’ experience working in Human Resources, Safety, or similar role
