    Job Description

    We are currently searching for a knowledgeable and experienced Professional Development Specialist who is passionate about early childhood and elementary education. In this position, you will create and present in-field and virtual training sessions to support our sales force, as well as develop product alignments and other content-based assignments for our customers and colleagues.

    The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of education best practices and extensive experience with various assessments and curricula. You should also be familiar with early learning educational standards and initiatives, such as the Head Start Program Performance Standards, CLASS, Environment Rating Scales and QRIS systems. Having additional knowledge of elementary standards like the CCSS is beneficial but not required. The ideal candidate will have certifications well-known in the early childhood and elementary fields. Real-world classroom experience and a background in presenting is essential, sales or publishing is helpful but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must. You will be working closely with company executives and a variety of colleagues and customers—from parents and teachers to high-level administrators at the district and state levels. This position will require a minimum of 50% travel within the United States pending CDC and internal travel guidelines. The ideal candidate will be based in the Las Vegas, Seattle or Denver metropolitan areas, with convenient access to a major airport.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: •  Strong background in professional development and/or facilitation •  Experience working in a classroom setting: EC required/Elem is an added benefit •  Familiarity with Head Start and Early Head Start •  Awareness of current education mandates and initiatives at the early childhood level; elementary levels beneficial but not required •  Superb communication skills •  Ability to travel within the U.S. to support sales and provide professional development training •  Teaching/administrative credentials and/or academic coaching expertise beneficial but not required •  Proficient in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with online presentation platforms
