Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION(S) INCLUDE:
The purpose of this position is to provide Property, Casualty and Professional Lines marketing expertise, including market selection, submissions to market, and all aspects of negotiations for both renewal and new business accounts. This position reports directly to a Marketing Manager with close alignment in goals and priorities. Successful candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and possess strong negotiation, networking, and relationship building skills.
DUTIES:
- Provides P&C marketing expertise, support and assistance to Producers and Account Managers. Develops an overall marketing plan and strategy for assigned accounts to ensure that marketing objectives are met.
- Markets new and renewal accounts, including negotiating price and coverage.
- Maintains awareness of the insurance marketplace and insurance company underwriting guidelines, appetites, and programs.
- Attends company & client sponsored events, including seminars, social events, etc. in order to maintain and/or build strong relationships with company & client representatives.
- Makes sales presentations with producers as requested and serves as a resource to producers during the sales process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four year college degree
- Hold current Property & Casualty Producer License
- Minimum of 1-3 years agency or insurance carrier experience. Experience in commercial property and casualty marketing preferred.
- Ability to secure and foster business relationships
- Possess strong negotiation skills and the continuing ability to grow these skills
- Experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Excellent communication skills required
