JOB DESCRIPTION: 

We are seeking a Traveling Lighting Retrofit Crew Lead for small and large/complex lighting and electrical projects. Duties include scheduling jobs with the customer, managing the material, labor and finances onsite, and ensuring the scope of work is completed with excellence and safety. The crew lead is also responsible for training new installers and serving the crew by leading by example as a working member of the team. This position requires traveling Monday through Thursday most weeks. Vehicle, fuel, hotel and per diem are provided by the company.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Actively work as a lead crew member on projects, including ground work, fixture preparation/removal/demolition, installation of lamps, retrofit kits, new fixtures, control devices, conduit and electrical wiring.
• Provide direction and job duties for crew members based on skills and experience in order to complete jobs within time, budget, quality and safety restraints.
• Review scope of work with Sales team and customer to ensure that expectations are met and communicate daily updates on project status. 
• Ensure all needed materials are purchased and delivered to the job site.
• Serve as Safety Director for the project by holding regular safety meetings and ensuring the crew is compliant with safety standards. 
• Ensure contractors receive site orientation and training and that all state/local code requirements and building permits, inspection and project close-out processes are followed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years’ experience as a lighting/electrical superintendent or foreman. 
• Knowledge of the various types of lift and scaffolding equipment is required. 
• Experience with commercial and industrial wiring systems and methods is required.
• Knowledge of LED lighting and LED lighting retrofit solutions preferred.
• Must be a proficient electrical troubleshooter.
• Demonstrated ability of problem-solving skills both electrically and personally with the crew.
