    Job Description

    This is a CONTRACT POSITION for a one-year contract, with two additional one-year contract options. The successful candidate will have proven experience in conducting operational tasks to assist in measuring and improving work performance within the Utility Industry (electric, gas, water, telephone, cable, etc.).

    This position conducts basic to moderate operational tasks to assist operating units in measuring and improving work performance to meet the organization’s operational and financial objectives. This includes development and implementation of methods to measure work performance, encourage cost savings, and improve efficiency. The position maintains and ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Works under moderate supervision, with regular review of completed assignments.

    REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS:

    • Coordinate with all operations units to ensure Operations, Maintenance, and Administrative functions and Capital and Expenditure work is efficiently scheduled and completed.
    • Participate in the development of methods to measure work performance
    • Develop methods and processes to provide accurate operating and capital expenditure forecasts
    • Development of methods and processes to support the determination of unit cost
    • Coordinate ongoing data collection and tracking of unit cost work
    • Coordinate and participate in major process improvement initiatives
    • Support development and submittal of fund expenditure documentation
    • Ensure accuracy of data generated by work and asset management processes
    • Understand and recommend changes to operations business processes and systems that will improve efficiencies, accuracy, and customer service
    • Computer, software, and office equipment literacy and proficiency are essential and must be demonstrated including but not limited to all Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Microsoft Excel with knowledge of Pivot Table use.
