Responsibilities: • Oversee the real estate closing/escrow process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, closing/escrow requirements, company requirements, and other written instructions. • Provide excellent customer service, including consistent communication to all parties involved in the transaction including lenders, buyers, sellers, realtors, and other partners or vendors. • Work closely with internal and external teams, lenders, real estate agents, surveyors, customers, and vendors to close transactions in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. • Send and receive mail or overnight documents as necessary to clear the title. Send earnest money receipts to all parties in the transaction. • Process files including, ordering title searches, municipal lien searches, estoppels, payoffs, surveys, and any other applicable items necessary to close and ensure the transaction is complete. • Resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, lis pendens, etc. • Secure all documents (corrective and others) that may be required for a successful settlement and the issuance of title insurance policies. • Review all documents in the file for accuracy and consistency. Qualifications: • 2+ years of real estate and title experience is preferred. • Strong computer skills: experience with SoftPro is preferred but not required. • Superior communication skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. • Able to maintain confidentiality. • Able to exercise fiduciary responsibility. • Able to work as a member in a team-oriented environment. • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure. Compensation: $18 hrly/minimum
