    Georgiou are currently looking to hire General Hand/Truck Driver to work on a 3:1 FIFO roster to the Pilbara, starting immediately.

     

    Ideally candidates will be General Hand/Labourer/Truck Driver willing to do some on road Truck Driving 3-4 times a week (around 6-8 hour round trip) who are ticketed and competent on a 5T truck. Positions available include:

     

    • General Hand/Truck Driver (5T truck) to transport ore samples to mine laboratory
    • HR LICENCE MANDATORY FOR GENERAL HAND/TRUCK DRIVER POSITION
    • Would need either ticket for Roller, Moxy articulated truck or 8 wheel truck watercart.

                 

    The ideal candidate will drive and drop drilled ore sample Bags to a mine laboratory, approximately 3-4 times a week. It is approximately 6-8hrs round trip. We need a competent experienced truck driver.

    On the other days the candidate will carry out general hand duties or operate Roller or Moxy or water cart (provided he/ she has the tickets).  One of these tickets preferable but not mandatory as they can carry out General duties.

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

     

    • Demonstrated experience in a similar position on Civil Construction Projects
    • Hold an excellent safety record
    • Must have Nationally accredited operating tickets – not mandatory for General Hand/Truck Driver
    • Blue / White Card
    • HR LICENCE MANDATORY FOR GENERAL HAND/TRUCK DRIVER POSITION
    • Valid manual Driver’s License
    • RIO INDUCTED – highly regarded
    • Willingness to work a 3:1 FIFO roster
    • Available to start immediately and be available until May 2021
    • Available to FIFO from Perth

    • Collaborates with the team members and Program management to develop and implement community workshops and creative art events. Collaborates with community partners, Program management and team members on new curriculum, program, or community event to ensure that activity is in alignment with overall goals of the program, it supports individual goals, and service needs are met. Responsible for weekly curriculum planning and instruction according to established schedule.
    • Responsible to work with team members to develop and implement Community Arts Connection schedule.
    • Supports individuals in identifying and connecting with community resources that will help them express their artistic talents and advocate for entry into the community as a local artist.
    • Ensure that supplies and equipment are available to meet the needs of the curriculum and plans. Regularly checks equipment and supplies to ensure they are in working order and do not pose a safety risk.
    • Uses person centered approach by directly or indirectly providing opportunities for individuals to make choices and decisions, learning to recognize individuals non-traditional expressions of preference, and encouraging the development of relationships with those other than paid staff and with other individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Contributes to the effectiveness of day habilitation plans by actively participating in their development, implementation and documentation.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for individuals at all times. Ensures a safe environment for individuals, while eating, using the bathroom, getting on and off vans and through timely reporting of facility or equipment maintenance or replacement needs. Participate in building evacuation and fire drills, and routine practice of infection control.
    • Makes decisions and judgment calls necessary to initially respond in situations of immediate need while support of the supervisor is be acquired. Provides written and/or verbal feedback to appropriate supervisory staff regarding the people we support.
    • Intervene immediately if abuse is suspected, notify the New York State Justice Center and follow the Code of Ethics set forth by the NYS Justice Center of the suspected occurrence.

    OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

    • Must demonstrate good judgment, sensitivity, objectivity and tact
    • Deliver presentations in the Agency and the community
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, successful problem solving and prioritizing skills
    • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining effective levels of consumer service
    • Ability to stay calm and level-headed under pressure and still perform well
    • Must demonstrate good judgment, independent decision making and knowledge of community resources
    • Read and interpret documents such as treatment or habilitation plans, safety rules, and procedure manuals
    • Foster teamwork between all team members via open communication, sharing of responsibilities, and a positive, constructive attitude.
    • Complete the agency’s on-boarding training program.
    • Basic computer literacy, including use of email, Microsoft office and internet

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit,
    • Occasionally required to stoop, reach, push, pull, lift, climb and kneel
    • Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.

    WORKING CONDITIONS, POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    • This position works to ensure people we support achieve success which requires maintaining a continuously flexible work schedule which could include some evenings, weekends and working during inclement weather and overtime as necessary.
    • Visual acuity necessary to prepare and analyze information, view a computer terminal, and determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
