    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Ingredient Preparation:
    * Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice various vegetables, fruits, and other food items.
    * Weigh and measure ingredients accurately according to the recipe requirements.
    
    1. Food Safety and Sanitation:
    * Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the safety of food preparation.
    * Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
    
    1. Inventory Management:
    * Assist in monitoring and restocking kitchen supplies, such as spices, condiments, and other food items.
    * Notify the kitchen manager or chef of low stock items to ensure a well-prepared kitchen.
    
    1. Dishwashing and Cleaning:
    * Assist in dishwashing and keeping the kitchen and preparation areas clean and organized.
    * Properly dispose of waste and recyclables.
    
    1. Assisting the Cooks:
    * Support line cooks and chefs by providing them with prepared ingredients as needed.
    * Collaborate with kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth workflow.
    
    1. Quality Control:
    * Inspect ingredients and prepared items for freshness, quality, and consistency.
    * Report any quality or safety concerns to the kitchen supervisor.
    
    1. Equipment Maintenance:
    * Help with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and appliances.
    * Report any malfunction or issues with kitchen equipment to management.
    
    1. Multi-Tasking:
    * Handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
    * Be ready to assist in various kitchen activities as required.
    

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is typically preferred.
    • Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is beneficial but not always required.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen procedures and practices.
