    Are you passionate about bringing people together to drive social impact? We are seeking a qualified events manager to support and elevate our year-round platform of Social Innovation Summit events. Social Innovation Summit, the philanthropic arm of Landmark Ventures, brings thousands of leaders together each year at events of all sizes throughout the country, including flagship Summits, Salons, and Learning Journeys. Working closely with the events team and reporting to the Director of Programs, this role is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of event planning from production, partnership development, programming and content, marketing, and media relations. Qualified candidates are self-starters with a passion for social responsibility and a willingness to be adaptable, wear multiple hats, and support the events team across various events and functions. Role and Responsibilities - Speaker Outreach, Selection, Support, Tracking & Coordination (25%) Research, identify, and help liaise with potential speakers for year-round SIS events and manage the speaker database Track current social impact trends and identify new topics and themes for programming Support speaker coordination associated with summits, including: collecting presentations and gathering speaker logistic requirements for on-site execution Manage the Speaker Recommendation application and process Prepare speakers through prep calls and materials Collaborate with the production teams to ensure that details and logistics are handled for speakers Partnership Development & Retention (25%) Support and track partner communications and ongoing requests Identify new partnership opportunities and support retention of existing partners Support the creation of customized partnership packages Help ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled with existing partners and sponsors Assist with note taking and follow up support for ongoing partner communications Marketing, Communications and Media (25%) Assist with creating copy for stakeholder communications, speaker guides, invitations, collateral, PowerPoint presentations, and website Provide communications support for press releases, media inquiries, and media partnerships Event Planning and Execution (25%) Assist with event preparation and logistics during all aspects of the event planning process Capture content and photos at various events for publication on website and social media outlets Help with on-site conference details, including registration support, sponsor, and speaker logistics support, etc. Collaborate with our event production team on the details - logistics, AV, room layout, food and beverage service, signage/brochures, website, and marketing requirements Requirements The Ideal Candidate Has - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality/Events or related disciplines and/or equivalent relevant experience 2-5 years direct experience in executing large-scale events and conferences, including attendee, speaker and/or partner management Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills which exemplify the ability to identify issues or challenges and find a reasonable solution Ability to multi-task, calmly and effectively execute under tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment Strong organization skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent analytical, verbal and written communications skills Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to monitor and manage multiple priorities, and meet timelines on large projects from inception through completion Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly develop trusting, productive relationships with clients, vendors, staff and all partners Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and get into the details as a team player with a "get things done" proactive attitude Excellent computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Willingness to be flexible, work extra hours and travel as needed Work "Athlete" mindset - someone who is coachable, innovative, focused and is able to adapt The role may potentially be used as training for other positions within the organization If you are that one special candidate, you will quickly become a key player on a talented, fun-loving team at a high-energy company.
