Our landscape architecture team values innovation, professionalism, and excellence in communication. Our landscape architecture portfolio includes a wide range of park master planning, higher education, trail planning, sports facilities, and urban master planning and design. Landscape Architects will contribute to all traditional project roles ranging from schematic design through construction documentation, construction administration, client engagement, and project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work & collaborate within an interdisciplinary design team.
- Effectively communicate with clients to determine project goals, needs, and requirements.
- Collaborate with external consultants or subconsultants which may include architects, engineers, surveyors, estimators, planners, etc.
- Compile complete sets of drawings, manage concurrent projects, collaborate with clients, consultants, team members, and have knowledge of landscape design, methods, and techniques.
- Manage various and/or all phases of firm’s landscape architecture projects.
- Understand and manage project schedules.
- Coordinate and produce technical specifications.
- Contribute ideas and solutions in project team environments.
- Prepare project designs and plans using AutoCAD, Land F/X, and Civil 3D.
- Prepare presentations and graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program (or equivalent).
- 12+ years of related professional experience.
- Professional licensure
- Demonstrated ability to express design ideas through hand graphics, computer aided graphics, modeling, (or similar).
- Ability to take initiative and stay organized while managing multiple projects or tasks.
- Interest in sharing and/or learning of emerging research and technologies applicable to the profession.
- Ability to work in a team environment, participating in the sharing of ideas, values, strategies, and goals.
Preferred additional experience:
- Specialized experience in irrigation design and/or sports field design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in standard design processes, construction drawing set compilation, client engagement, and project management.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Land F/X
- Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion 10.0 (and later)
- Microsoft Suite
