Location: Greater Lansing Area

Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 per year plus commission

Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday

Sustain Lawn and Landscape designs and installs outdoor living environments including patios retaining walls grading drainage solutions and custom landscape installations for residential and commercial clients.

Our team combines creative design with professional installation to deliver outdoor spaces that are both functional and visually appealing.

Position Overview

Sustain Lawn and Landscape is seeking a Landscape Designer to create customized outdoor living designs for residential and commercial clients.

This role works directly with clients to develop landscape concepts and collaborate with installation teams to ensure designs are executed successfully.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with clients to discuss project goals and site conditions

Design landscape and hardscape layouts

Prepare design concepts plans and presentations

Develop planting plans and material selections

Utilize design software to create project visuals

Prepare estimates and assist with project proposals

Coordinate with installation teams during project execution

Maintain accurate project documentation

Required Qualifications

Experience in landscape design or related field

Knowledge of plant materials and hardscape applications

Strong communication and client consultation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or certification in Landscape Design or Horticulture

Experience with AutoCAD SketchUp or other design software

Sales or client facing experience

Knowledge of landscape construction methods

Compensation and Benefits

$55,000 to $70,000 annual salary based on experience

Commission opportunities based on project sales
