    Fertile Ground Organic Gardens is hiring a Landscaping Sales Specialist to join our team!

    Fertile Ground is an organic landscape design, installation, and maintenance company in Austin, Texas. We offer residential landscaping services to Austin and surrounding areas. We have previously been recognized as the Austin Chronicle's “Best Landscaper”.

    We are excited to offer a competitive base + commission opportunity, with a base starting salary between $50,000 to $55,000 annually plus opportunity for commission. This position also comes with a robust benefits package including paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, health insurance and a Simple IRA retirement plan.

    Requirements for our Landscaping Sales Specialist:

    • A bachelor's degree in landscape design or horticulture is preferred;
    • 3+ years of experience in horticulture and landscape project sales;
    • Knowledge of landscape installation for landscape enhancement projects;
    • Great time management and organizational skills;
    • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving;
    • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
    • Broad knowledge of horticulture and landscape design and construction;
    • Basic knowledge of materials and labor costs;
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, spoken and written, internally and externally;
    • A valid drivers license and clear Motor Vehicle Report required.

    Responsibilities for our Landscaping Sales Specialist:

    • Implementing sales strategies and tactics in order to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals;
    • Conducting client and prospect visits in order to sell garden services;
    • Identifying and developing new client relationships;
    • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure strong conversion rates from leads to sales of garden maintenance, installation and enhancement services;
    • Attending networking events to develop new business opportunities;
    • Developing strategic partner relationships to create an ongoing pipeline of referrals;
    • Participating in marketing services to current clients and developing referrals for new work sources;
    • Creating and designing proposals for enhancement and garden installation projects based on information gathered in client meetings;
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and results;
    • Other duties as assigned.
