    THE LANEONE TOUR OPERATIONS TEAM

    The LaneOne Tour Operations team is a group of dedicated entertainment professionals responsible for curating, executing, and activating the logistical elements of the LaneOne Experience. 

    INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST - THE ROLE (PART-TIME HOURLY): 

    The LaneOne Inventory Control Specialist will work within the Tour Operations Department, coordinate closely with Operations and Finance business functions, and liaise with external vendor contacts to manage inventory. The primary objective will be to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply. This role reports to the Director of Tour Operations and is ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of all inventory on tours, residencies, and events. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee inventory and supply management according to event needs 
    • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
    • Maintain updated, organized, and accurate records of all inventory on tour and in the office, including transfers and cycle counts
    • Review documentation and monitor products to search for discrepancies between stock and records
    • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operational costs
    • Respond to inquiries and purchase orders for all LaneOne tours, residencies, and destination experiences; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities and process orders for shipment
    • Review event operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
    • Track rates of accuracy, purchase, and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
    • Prepare, generate, file, and review financial inventory reports with Finance
    • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Minimum of two years related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics
    • Must have a flexible schedule, and be willing to work occasional nights and weekends
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit, climb, balance, stoop and kneel repeatedly
    • General knowledge of graphic design and direct experience working in entertainment production strongly preferred
    • Receptive to feedback and coaching with a passion for professional improvement
    • Dependable and punctual with strong time management skills
    • Demonstrates independence and the ability to take the initiative
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with impeccable attention to detail
    • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and resolve difficult situations
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and uncertainty
    • High level of comfort and familiarity with technology-based applications (iOS and Android)
    • Proficient with computers and other standard office technology
