Language Stars is hiring!

Language Stars, the leading provider of early childhood foreign language education, is a rapidly growing educational organization that offers play-based, full immersion foreign language programs in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, and Arabic for children ages 1-13.

Locations we are hiring: Centers and Schools in Chicago in Lincoln Park, in the north suburbs including Wilmette and Deerfield, the northwest suburbs including Barrington and Arlington Heights, and the western suburbs including Naperville and Hinsdale.

Responsibilities:

· Teach FunImmersion® programs to children between 1-13 years old in multiple Language Stars centers and at-school programs

· Run structured activities supported by materials, session plans & training provided by Language Stars

· FunImmersion® delivery requires significant physical movement and energy to achieve educational goals.

· Support Language Stars program quality and growth

· Communicate with parents at drop-off and pick-up time

· Participate in required periodic teacher trainings and teacher meetings

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or currently enrolled in post-secondary school program

· Degree in child development, elementary education, foreign language education strongly preferred

· Ability to deliver programs in a fun and dynamic approach

· Native or native-level proficiency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Mandarin or Arabic

· Professional proficiency in English

· Strong written proficiency in native language and English

· Experience working with young children required (i.e. Au Pair or nanny); experience in an academic setting preferred (i.e. Teacher or Teacher’s Assistant)

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Ability to work successfully with colleagues on a team

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

· Availability to work part-time (at least 1 hour/week and up to 30 hours/week, depending on availability and program demand)

· Willingness to travel to multiple Language Stars locations (more flexibility will mean more opportunities for you)

· Driver’s license and access to a vehicle are highly preferred
