    Job Description

    Our growing and well-respected Certified Public Accounting Firm is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager for our office located in Upland, California. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Proactively develop and execute recruitment strategies that drive quality-of-hire and time to fill. • Build strong, diverse candidate pipelines and develop relationships with candidates for future opportunities. • Create a stellar candidate experience in identifying and anticipating candidate needs, following issues to closure, collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize candidate experience and meet the expectations of the business. • Ensuring the onboarding of new hires is followed according to procedures in a timely and thorough manner. • Act as first point of contact for all employee related issues including, but not limited to: harassment, wage & hour concerns, leaves of absence, injuries, onboarding, training, terminations, attendance, investigation and disciplinary actions. • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing. receive time sheets from employees, audit for accuracy, and input time into the payroll system. • Verify payroll reports prior to the run of the bi-weekly payroll run. • Conduct employee investigations; gather witness statements, make recommendations regarding next steps. • Ensure compliance with various state and federal wage/hour laws, signage, postings, etc. • Manage company-wide performance management process, including Performance Improvement Plans and corrective actions. • Provide support and coaching to managers in employee related issues. • Participate in unemployment, wage/hour and EEOC hearings. • Assist with company-wide harassment and employee development training program. • Manage and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity. • Create and assist in the evaluation of reports. • Assist with keeping organization charts current. • Advise employees and management in the interpretation of human resources policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. • Position is full-time and on-site Skills/Qualifications: • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or the equivalent experience/training and a minimum of 4+ years’ experience working as human resources professional. • Advanced computer skills covering Microsoft Office Suite, especially, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Thorough knowledge of human resources and payroll concepts, employee relations, policies and procedures, employment practices, compensation, LOA, FMLA, performance management and training. • Strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrate organizational skills, problem-solving skills, active listening and critical thinking skills. • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. • Demonstrated skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action. • Able to handle sensitive personnel issues with confidentiality, tact and discretion. • Ability to work well in a team environment and build team-working dynamics. • SHRM: CP, SCP, and or PHR, SPHR certifications preferred.
