WHO WE ARE

Cornerstone Veterinary Services is a large animal veterinary clinic that was established in 2018 and is located in St. Henry, Ohio. Cornerstone not only provides services to the 11 states that we are licensed in, but also provides animal products & milk replacer. Recently, Cornerstone Veterinary Services has partnered with Heritage Vet Partners. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY

The vet tech will assist with preparing vaccines and serums for prevention of diseases, submit samples and proper documentation to the labs, submit regulatory paperwork, administer vaccines, visit with herds regularly, work on research projects, and work side by side with vets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains controlled drug inventory and related logbooks.
• Prepare samples along with the proper documentation to send to the Laboratory. Prepares, vaccines, serums, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Fills prescriptions, measuring medications and labeling containers.
• Provides veterinarians with the correct equipment and instruments. Cleans and sterilizes instruments, equipment, and materials.
• Performs office, clerical, and accounting duties such as reception, billing, bookkeeping, and selling products.
• Keeping VCPRs (Veterinary Client Patient Relationship) up to date and updating scripts as directed by a veterinarian.

SKILLS / ABILITIES

• General understanding of animal physiology and veterinary terminology.
• Basic computer knowledge.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Appropriate state certification and licensing
  • Registered Veterinary Technician or Animal Science
• At least two years of relevant experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, bending, and lifting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
