Inland Empire Contractor seeking Controller to join our team!

We are a well known Construction Company in Redlands, CA looking for a replacement Controller. Candidate must have experience and knowledge in Construction Accounting.

Applicant must have a minimum of Degree in Accounting.

Knowledge in IT and Corporate Tax a must.

This position requires an individual with excellent supervisory skills and a strong knowledge of all aspects related to Human Resources. This includes Health Insurance, Retirement Plans, and ability to oversee all day-to-day payroll responsibilities.

Applicant must be extremely organized to handle not only basic accounting for a General Engineering Contractor ( C-Corp), but accounting for several other companies (S-Corp).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee Accounting Department

Handle daily cash receipts deposits and post to accounting system- currently Maxwell but converting to Viewpoint by year-end.

Weekly Payroll Tax and 401K deferral uploads

Track payroll vacation accrual and employee medical matching

Handle all accounting for 589 space RV Storage Facility

Handle monthly bank reconciliation, journal entries, fixed asset and depreciation entries
