Larry’s Ice Cream has been in Coral Springs for nearly 40 years and are now open in Boca Raton! We aren't just ice cream! We serve a full food menu, including breakfast, crepes, sandwiches, burgers and incredible trending desserts ! The menu includes fun, various items and daily specials, perfect for the creative cook.
We are looking for a Kitchen Manager and Cook to supervise daily operations.
Kitchen Manager responsibilities include food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time.
Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate food orders
Manage kitchen production and inventory management
Oversee kitchen efficiency and operations
Check food plating and temperature
Establish & maintain portion sizes
Price menu items in collaboration with the Owner
Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
Requirements and skills
Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Cook
Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
Deliver high-quality menu and provide excellent customer service
Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
Exceptional kitchen sanitation, following all safety regulations
Excellent organizational skills
Conflict management abilities
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
Kitchen Manager Safe Serve Certification
EXCEPTIONAL SANITARY HABITS ARE REQUIRED. Changing Gloves, cleaning grill, proper sanitizing is paramount. Additional duties include disposing of frying oil, cleaning hood grids, restocking and managing supplies, inventory management, FIFO, dating and rotating perishables kept in refrigeration.
Time management is paramount. You will be required to manage your time precisely to handle various orders simultaneously as well as prepare for later service, and opening shifts the next day.
Responsibilities:
Preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
Follow recipes, keeping brand standard, ensure picture worthy quality
Properly manage food prep for efficiency
Rotating food FIFO.
Using correct portioning to ensure food quality control.
Perform proper kitchen cleaning/sanitizing, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Properly manage dating of all food inventory- ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.
Maintain proper inventory levels.
MUST HAVES:
Must have a clean appearance.
Must be reliable and consistent
Must have culinary experience
Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment
