Laser Setup/Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

• Setup and Operation : Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines according to job specifications, ensuring accurate cutting and engraving of materials.
• Programming: Part programs are provided by engineering, but the laser operator is responsible for making minor adjustments at the machine.
• Quality Control: Monitor the cutting process and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Have all first pieces inspected and verified by QC department prior to running complete jobs. Monitor the cutting in process for continued correct performance.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent hazards.

Qualifications:

• 5 years or more experience having sole responsibility for running a high-powered industrial laser cutting machine
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
