    Lasso MD is a patient acquisition platform for SMB private healthcare practices , endorsed by some of the biggest names in the industry. We empower practices to become better businesses through our marketing services, marketing automation, and fully integrated software tools. Our goal is to create a repeatable and predictable system for generating new patient leads for our clients.

    We are a small startup of 25 people and looking for software engineers at all levels (senior level should have minimum of 7 years of experience developing, testing, launching software with real end users with hands-on experience on latest best practices around automation, testing, feature flagging CI/CD, IaC and observability). We are only looking for those who are excited to work in a self managing environment, have shown continuous improvement in their technical skills and love to work with small teams to deliver best value to the customers. This role will be reporting directly to the CTO.

    Role Summary

    We're looking for software engineers with a dedication to the craft who enjoy creating intuitive, scalable, modular, secure, well tested and easy to maintain software systems. You will collaborate with customer success, sales, marketing, CEO, CTO, designer and product team members to build amazing products for healthcare practices, focusing on dental practices as our entry market.

    As a Lasso software engineer, you will own a full product development, release and operations. Your responsibilities will include understanding customer pain points, solutioning, breaking down into sub-tasks, delivering incremental easy to test software to production, refining developer tools, optimizing CI/CD pipeline, identifying high value touch points to increase user engagement, creating good observability harness for drama free releases and operations. You will own the success of the software product, testing, quality, and operations. The role will require working closely with designer, product owner and constantly improving the software by iterating on customer feedback. You will be developing marketing and business insights applications that are simple to use and integrate with a wide range of external data sources.

    You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, partnering with customer success, sales, marketing and product teammates in all phases of agile product development, to implement complex features into simple and intuitive product solutions.

    What Does Success Look Like?

    • Obsessively seek the customer voice and evangelize customer advocacy throughout the product team.
    • Track customer insights through JIRA tickets, end user usage logs, software usage analytics, videos, documentations, design feedback and testing.
    • Embraces a rapid prototyping process and has proven experience in a rapid iteration environment.
    • Inspires a sense of urgency to deliver to the end users and past success in CI/CD workflows.
    • Thoughtfully communicate trade offs through documentation while minimizing future tech debt with good intuition in providing pragmatic solutions despite uncertain requirements.
    • Strategically blend user, business, and technical considerations into comprehensive technical solutions.
    • Design data models and data pipelines in an easy to understand pattern so that other engineers and analysts can easily utilize the data for new features and data analysis.
    • Utilize best practices and automation in unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests, load tests and pen tests and make them replicable by others.
    • Organized pull requests through videos, API docs, component diagrams or documentations so that others can easily test and review your PRs.
    • Meticulously utilizes feature flags and advanced deployment strategies for minimal or zero downtime deployments.

    • Provide and receive feedback from all stakeholders with empathy and compassion.
    • Own software features from conception to release, and constantly train others to better write, extend and maintain software
    • Utilize best practices of composable, object oriented, easily testable, and easily observable software systems
    • Optimize on data pipelines and 3rd party integrations for scalability
    • Own business domains, be data driven and over time be unafraid to evolve yourself into different business domains as company and product evolves
    • You will make yourself available when a customer is having challenges with the software

    Required Experience

    Skills and Requirements

    • Experience in any of Python, Typescript, Javascript, Go, Java, Terraform, Dart, Rust with long term desire to become full stack and unafraid to be polyglot
    • BEng/BS or MEng/MS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
