  • Responsibilities

    CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer. Position is responsible for technical oversight of all areas of multi-year contract that deal with the energy calculations, standards, policies, or criteria. The Senior Energy Engineer shall have demonstrated recent experience with Government or industry processes, procedures, standards, methodologies, or tools as relative to the assignment. The Senior Energy Engineer shall at least fifteen (15) years of experience in energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects). The person shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in either mechanical or electrical engineering. The person shall have at least three (3) years of experience in facility energy modeling and have strong background in mathematical modeling. The Senior Energy Engineer must have a thorough background in DOD, Army and Federal Energy and Sustainability laws, policies, executive orders, regulations, instructions, and guidance. Additional considerations will be given for licensed Professional Engineers (PE). Additional considerations will be given for DOD or DOA experience. Additional considerations will be given for a Certified Energy Managers (CEM). A PE license will be considered superior to a CEM certification.

    Tasks include:

    • Energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects
    • Analyses of energy usage, standards, policies
    • Integration of energy data into application sustainment and modernization
    • Utilizing government and industry tools and processes related to energy management and reporting

    Required Skills

    • U.S. citizen
    • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
    • Energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects)
    • Facility energy modeling
    • Knowledge and background in DOD, Army and Federal Energy and Sustainability laws, policies, executive orders, regulations, instructions, and guidance

    Preferred Skills

    • Hold a current secret clearance
    • Background in Army installations, energy, and sustainability issues

    Required Experience

    • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects)
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in facility energy modeling

    Preferred Experience:

    • Licensed Professional Engineers (PE).
    • Additional considerations will be given for DoD or Army experience.
