EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

• Minimum BS in computer science or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Windows and Linux development environments
• Proficient in C/C++ and Java
• Debian and Arch based Linux distributions
• SVN, Jira, Confluence, Redmine, SharePoint
• Knowledge of network protocols and services: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, QoS, etc.
• Working knowledge of bash, Python and Linux command line tools
• Experience operating and/or troubleshooting airborne electronic systems

JOB DESCRIPTION

WGS Systems is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer based out of our Frederick, MD office. The position requires a high degree of knowledge and experience in all aspects software engineering. This includes not only the ability to write software but also requires proficiency in creating design documentation, task estimation, and test documentation. Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, fix and test C/C++ and Java software applications
• Support engineering and troubleshooting activities at customer sites
• CONUS/OCONUS travel as needed
• Able to possess at least a TS clearance
• Active TS or higher clearance preferred
