Job Description
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, the SharePoint Administrator manages the day-to-day administration and support of the overall SharePoint platform. SharePoint environment, including design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, and security of the portals. This role is a key position and will be called upon to resolve the highest level technical issues while interfacing with users, partners, and vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup, configuration, and management of SharePoint application features, functions, and services.
- Performing standard SharePoint Site Collection Administration duties such as creating and managing sites, libraries, lists, workflows; managing features, functions, security groups and user permissions, content types, columns, and content management.
- Designing, creating, and regularly publishing detailed reports communicating summary of activities and the status of site collection parameters.
- Designing and developing master pages, page layouts, and themes.
- Working independently with end-users and leadership to encourage SharePoint adoption and expanding their understanding and usage of SharePoint.
- Training users and acting as first-line support for SharePoint stakeholders.
- Providing alternatives analysis, recommendations, and strategies for continuously improving architectures, approaches, collaboration, and support and training of SharePoint stakeholders.
- Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting integrated SharePoint solutions, web parts, templates, and workflows.
- Performing regular reviews of current architectures to ensure relevance and appropriateness of the current state in anticipation of how the organization evolves and business needs change.
- Regularly reviewing, configuring, and cleaning-up user accounts, permission groups, sites, and content to ensure stability and usability of the Site Collection and to safeguard important data.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator
- BA or BS degree required. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience with end-user requirement gathering and systems analysis
- Experience with development in Microsoft SQL Server, InfoPath, Workflow, Visual
