    Job Description

    Working with a client in the Washington DC area that is looking for a high level Systems Architect with extensive AWS Experience. 

     

    • Function as a subject matter expert to projects and implementations regarding DevOps & Cloud Architecture with AWS.
    • Strategize, plan and manage all processes related to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and process automation.
    • Enforce strict compliance and security requirements in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices while powering Evariant customer facing systems.
    • Develop automated deployment and monitoring of cloud infrastructure, web applications, Salesforce packages and APIs including microservices management.
    • Build automation tools and frameworks for on-demand deployment environments, application definition, availability, security, and performance monitoring and alerting.
    • Manage orchestration, configuration, and provisioning automation.
    • Collaborate with Architects, DevOps Engineers, Engineering Managers, Product Managers and Engineers across the organization to deliver a comprehensive solution.
    • Evaluate new tools and technologies through POCs and propose solutions for implementation.
    • Continuously improve the speed, reliability and quality of our product delivery.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience. Masters Preferred. AWS certifications desirable. Security certifications is a plus.
    • Significant experience designing, deploying, and supporting production cloud environments in AWS ecosystem (including EC2, VPC, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3).
    • Provide technical management and support for virtual servers (VMware or in the cloud) including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting (as needed)
    • Proficiency with Linux.
    • Competence with at least one scripting language (bash, Groovy, Python, etc.)
    • Competence with developing applications in one or more language stacks: Node.js, Java.
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, service-oriented architectures, microservices and design patterns preferred.
    • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and Pipeline-As-Code: Jenkins.
    • Experience with Log Management tools: ELK stack, Splunk.
    • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks, cloud-based access, and security controls – experience with SAML and/or OAUTH is desirable.
    • Experience with secrets management, certificates, encryption and keys: Vault, AWS KMS.
    • Experience with Agile software development and Scrum methodology.
    • Knowledge about Salesforce and/or any CRM Systems preferred.
    • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, able to work independently.
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and Willingness to learn and expand knowledge.
    • Organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
