    Job Description

    JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME

    SALARY: $100,000.00 TO $125,000.00 /HOUR

    Reporting to the VP of Operations and managing a team of eight reports, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of the company's quality compliance and improvement efforts to ensure quality results meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations. You will conduct yourself and ensure that the member of your team conducts themselves in a manner consistent with the company's core values.

    RESPONSIBILITIESl:

    • Formulate strategies to move company quality systems and quality performance beyond compliance to achieve world class quality performance
    • Consult with peers on the attitudes and practices of quality throughout the organization to develop an environment of continual improvement
    • Champion the Quality System into a Lean Manufacturing environment
    • Manage implementation of AS9100 Certification
    • Ensure certification to quality systems are maintained
    • Review customer RFQs, drawings, and POs for quality requirements
    • Process capability studies, critical characteristics modifications and approval system
    • Maintain working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
    • Develop strategies to improve Cost of Quality to benchmarked companies determined to be Best in Class
    • Confer with customer representatives to develop relationships to improve quality of product for manufacturability and reduce overall costs
    • Confer with supplier representatives to develop relationships to improve quality of product for manufacturability and reduce overall costs
    • Perform customer satisfaction surveys and provide feedback
    • Maintain Vendor Rating and Vendor Corrective Action systems
    • Determine and maintain Supplier Quality Assessment and Approval system
    • Manage internal corrective and preventative system and internal audit system
    • Maintain continuous improvement system
    • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Four year degree in a related field preferred but not required. Comprehensive related experience may be substituted for a degree.
    • A minimum of 5years of quality engineering and management experience in a CNC machining company that is a low/volume high mix environment
