    Growing Government contractor looking to hire a Financial Reconciliation Analyst .

    Financial Reconciliation Analyst 

    Responsibilities:

    • Reconcile General Ledger (GL) to Subsystem data weekly throughout the month and daily during month-end closings. Provide documentation, distribute, and warehouse such data for subsequent review or audit.
    • Perform daily Financial Integrity checks and queries to identify, investigate, and report variances and issues.
    • Reconcile Treasury Report on Receivables (TROR) to AR/AP supporting reports weekly throughout the month and daily during month-end closings.
    • Investigate reconciliation issues and variances and prepare corrective action documentation or log service requests or incidents to resolve the issue.
    • Perform and oversee monthly benefits reconciliations and generate supporting documentation.
    • Support internal and external audit requests (including providing data extracts as needed).
    • Perform ongoing system evaluations and analysis to identify and suggest business process changes and improvements to the financial reconciliation processes and procedures for all lines of business.
    • Update and maintain the financial reconciliation process and procedure documents.
    • Prepare financial system setup documentation as needed for various configuration changes and requirements.
    • Perform periodic system testing related to upgrades and new business initiatives as well as annual year-end and disaster recovery testing.
    • Attend and contribute to regular status, planning, and user group meetings.
    • Assist in fulfilling the requirements and responsibilities for the entire range of financial management activities including accounting, reporting, and disbursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the authoritative and advisory financial standards and principals, issues by the Federal Accounting Standards (FASAB), OMB, Department of Treasury, and the General Accounting Office.

    Qualifications:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS degree or the equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or IT disciplines
    • Basic understanding of accounting and financial reconciliation
    • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Financial applications (especially AP, AR, and GL)
    • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
    • Desire to work in a high performance environment

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of Toad for Oracle query tool and experience with basic SQL queries
    • Experience with ServiceNow IT service management tool suite (especially for service requests, incident, problem, and change management)
    • Experience with IBM Rational tool suite
