  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team at an IHG hotel property. This position is responsible for maintaining hotel linens and assisting the housekeeping department by stripping guest rooms to prepare them for cleaning. Responsibilities: • Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques • Monitor all laundry equipment and notify the facilities manager of any maintenance requirements • Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low • Operate commercial washer and dryer • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry area • Strip guest rooms of used linens and towels to prepare rooms for housekeeping staff • Pickup linens left in public areas • Follow hotel standards for sanitation and linen handling • Report any equipment or maintenance issues to management • Assist the housekeeping team when needed • Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate products • Monitor all laundry equipment and notify the facilities manager of any maintenance requirements • Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low Qualifications: • 1 or more year as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or a similar role is strongly desired • Graduated high school, received GED or equivalent • Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills • We require the ability to consistently lift 20 or more pounds • Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products Compensation: $16 hourly to start
