    Job Summary: The Laundry & Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the assisted and independent living facility at Meadowviews of Clive. This role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for tenants, staff, and visitors by following established cleaning protocols and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • General Cleaning:
      • Clean and sanitize tenants rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
      • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.
    • Laundry:
      • Manage and process laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and tenants personal clothing.
    • Restocking:
      • Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.
      • Report supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
    • Special Cleaning Tasks:
      • Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled, including carpet cleaning, window washing, and furniture polishing.
      • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and spills.
    • Safety and Compliance:
      • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
      • Follow infection control procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Resident Interaction:
      • Interact with tenants in a friendly and courteous manner.
      • Respect tenants privacy and personal space while performing cleaning duties.
    • Maintenance Reporting:
      • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager.
    • Team Collaboration:
      • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and facility team members.
      • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience:
      • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in an assisted living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
    • Skills:
      • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
    • Physical Requirements:
      • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
      • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
      • Good manual dexterity and stamina.
